This is the wip (work in progress) of the painting I am working at: I am trying with colored pencils this time... Subject is the female version of the renowned Green Man...

This time I took a deep breath, found some courage and decided to try: I submitted this painting for participating to the 2015 edition of Spectrum Fantastic Art. Anyway, I enjoyed painting it, she is the lady of the manor taking a rest from her daily duties, sitting on the lakeside beneath her castle. While painting I probably was thinking to the Urquhart Castle, which I visited in 2012: it was very inspiring... You can find it on my Zazzle shop as a poster

After taking a short holiday, eating some pandoro and Christmas cakes, and being at home looking after my daughter, I am ready to start a new year full of colors, paintings and illustrations! I had a very busy November and December, illustrating four children's books in only 40 days... but I did it without missing my delivery dates :-) I spent these few January weeks finishing my last watercolor (you'll see it in a few days, as soon as I take the photos): I am thinking to use it to do my first video tutorial about watercolor technique... An “orphan” drawing I used to draw illustrations for a wedding organizing website, providing them to its webmaster: unfortunately the collaboration between the webmaster and that website stopped, but someone forgot to tell me about that, so I continued to illustrate the piece they previously told me to work at. The illustration I drew  I like very much, I must say it probably is the most original I drew for them, but it is not intended to be part of that website anymore. Nevertheless, I want it to be displayed, so I post it here: it is all gold and silver!!! :-)

I recently finished my Butterfly Fairies Series, made of five sweet, funny wood fairies adorned with butterfly and dragonfly wings : The fairies are on sale on my Etsy Shop , where you can instantly buy and download them: there you can find five files, jpeg, 300 dpi, ready for printing and coloring. You can buy one fairy only, or two, three... as you like it! This is the illustration I drew for an article about an “hippie” or “roaring twenties” inspired  marriage: it has been published on the  Villa Valente website, a location based near Rome for events, parties and marriages… My next illustration is ready, but I can’t publish it before it is published by Villa Valente… stay tuned, you’ll see it in a few days! And it will have a sexy feeling…

I’m just opening  my new shop on Etsy:   its name, Fantasy Art Online, is temporary, and it will take time to set up as I want it to be, but I already added a few items: in particular, I added a downloadable drawing, a Christams fairy, both in coloured and black and white version, ready tobe coloured. I hope it brings me luck!!!
