Fantart

Ci siamo. As I promised yesterday, here it is! The first of my Sketch Tutorials: "learn how to draw a gnome", is here for you: get a look and try to design your own gnome! Comments are welcome: I haven't done so many tutorials by now, but I would like to share some magic.... let me know what you think about it and, if you design a gnome, share your creature with me! I would be very happy in taking a look at your drawings! Also feel free to contact me for suggestions and art tips, I'll gladly answer :-) Fabiola

I haven't been posting very often lately: this is because I begun updating very often - almost everyday - my Facebook page , opened a second facebook page and a brand new website .... I wish to dedicate this blog to art tips and tutorials, so I decided starting again updating it more consistently. I don't mean I am so good at drawing that I can teach others to draw, but I paint, draw and I can share what I learnt: so, if you are interested, stay tuned: I will begin with a sketch series, "drawing goblins and small little magic ones"....

Finished at last! I enjoyed so much designing her... Art prints (without pencils on the top, of course!) are on sale on My Ezebee Shop here: https://www.ezebee.com/…/fantasy-art-print-brigit-celtic-go… or on FineArtAmerica here: http://fineartamerica.com/…/brigit-celtic-goddess-red-hair-… She is Brigit, a celtic goddess patroness of poetry and bardic lore, and of bards, who were the oral transmitters of the Celtic culture. This includes storytellers, folklorists, mythologists, balladeers, singers, composers, poets, musicians, particularly harpers, historians and clan genealogists. She provided the ‘fire in the head’ of poetic inspiration. A very complex figure, Brigit is a solar deity and triskell is one of her symbols. In celtic mythology she is the daughter of the Dagda and one of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Original artwork is about 34.4 x 25.5 cm.

Hair finished at last! I am going to finish plants on the background now... it's the first time I post so many updates about one single project, but this time it's different.... I feel I am narrowing the search to my personal style (and it's not a matter of media....) Prints will soon follow, but I have to finish first!

Today I have added her hand and I have begun coloring her hair… For those interested, I also have a Facebook page where I publish my updates…. this is its link:   https://www.facebook.com/Fabiola-Fantasy-Art-251688064899016 Today I just have found a fine art printing shop and ordered my first sample case…. I think I may start selling prints after finishing this piece, and not only licensing my work through my zazzle,  fineartamerica shop  and cafepress shops… I’ll think about it….

Another step along the way.... today ooak and misteltoe leaves....

..... I won't reveal her name, although she already has one.... she is a celtic goddess.... guess who?

She's ready: I finished at last my first pencil work: to tell the truth, the background I did using watercolors, but all the rest is made using pencils. Prints are on sale on Fine art america  : they obviously won't have the watermark (i.e. my name and website) on them.

Thank you to all my visitors following the making of my Green woman... the painting is almost finished!!!!! When she's finished I will prepare stamps and prints to make her available in my shops! In the meanwhile, here she is:

I've finished the plants on her head... I'll study the background now!

As the fantasy portrait goes on it becomes more interesting... I am available for fantasy and traditional portraits at fbonghi@yahoo.it. Payment due only when the portrait is finished via Paypal or credit card. No shipping is due, it doesn't matter where in the world the painting will be delivered. Available for digital potraits as well. Feel free to write for any question.

This is the wip (work in progress) of the painting I am working at: I am trying with colored pencils this time... Subject is the female version of the renowned Green Man...

A new poster  on sale in my  Zazzle shop  : Anastasia, the wind princess.
