Fantart- Il posto dei Libri e dei Disegni

I have listed my doll for sale on http://www.ooakartauctions.com/ It is a site visited by ooak operators (i invented this word, does it exist?)... let's see what will happen... :-) the auction will last ten days. Ho appena messo in vendita la mia Venus su http://www.ooakartauctions.com/ , un sito specializzato senza balzelli da pagare... speriamo vada bene, l'asta durerà dieci giorni da oggi...

Approx. 35 cm high, long blond curly hair with a thin braid on the right side of her face, Venus is posable, has a sofa and a pedestal, so she can seat or stand up. She doesn't stand without her pedestal. The pedestal is covered with small mirrors: space between mirrors is gold-glittered. The sofa is silk-covered. Completly hand made by me with no use of moulds, from the very beginnng to the end, sofa and pedestal included. She will be on display at bambole a roma, on the 11th of april. I never thought it would have been so difficult to finish this doll... I can't stop looking at her and thinking "mmmhhh, I should sand here, and there, her left leg is to short, her feet are not good... I have done again the feet because I didn't like the first pair... this is a shot of her face... I chose to do very big eyes, they seem a kind of Egyiptian eyes... Non avrei mai creduto che sarebbe stato così difficile finire questa bambola... ogni volta che la guardo penso "dovrei limare qui, e là, la gamba sinistra  è troppo corta, i piedi non vanno bene..." ho rifatto i piedi perchè il primo paio non mi piaceva... Ecco una foto del viso... ho deciso di fare gli occhi molto grandi, sembra un pò egiziana...

Ok... in my enormous aughtiness I have decided to make a BJD: yes, a ball jointed doll!!!!!!! I have finished the body today, head, hands and feet are still missing, but I'm enthusiastic!!!!!!! I'm really excited, I want to finish it and possibly do another one in time for http://www.bambolearoma.it/  , the doll show I will participate in on the 11th of April, in Rome.... News will soon follow, I just wanted to let you all know about this and share my happiness for my new project!!!!! Hugs :-) Ebbene, nella mia enorme superbia ho deciso di realizzare una bambola snodabile, altresì nota con il nome di Ball Jointed Doll..... ho finito il corpo (eccetto testa, mani e piedi) oggi, sono entusiasta!!!! Voglio finirla e realizzarne un'altra (se possibile), per http://www.bambolearoma.it/ , un expo che si terrà, appunto, a Roma l'11 Aprile e al quale parteciperò..... Ulteriori notizie a poi, per ora volevo solo condividere con la rete l'entusiasmo per il mio nuovo...

At last , after many posts all saying "she's almost finished" and "I will post the photo in a short time", I can show you Elenoire, a Leanann Sidhe (the irish poets' muse):  I sell it on EBay here I report the description I wrote for the Ebay auction: Elenoire is a Leanan sidhe, the poets' muse; in celt mythology she is a fairy loving a human... men who fall in love with her, according to tradition, have short and intense lives: if she loves not being loved back, she becomes the slave of her lover; if she doesn't love her human companion, he becomes hers forever... She is approximately 42 cm high, made in air dry clay, with no muolds. Her dress is completely removable and hand-sewed (there are three pieces: corset, skirt and underskirt): her hair are made with mohair wool, and covered with glitters. The tree beside her has been made with the same material (air dry clay) hand painted and covered with small mirrors and golden glitters. Post ...

.... but she's almost done! I've done the wig, too, now I have to finish the tree and then I'll sew her dress... have faith (I do!), one day she'll be finished...

Work in progress Come molti artisti fantasy sanno, esistono molti siti fantasy in rete, e molte community di persone che condividono questo interesse: tuttavia non mi sono mai imbattuta in un sito che facesse da punto di incontro per gli artisti italiani che, professionalmente o per passione (o per entrambi!), dedicano al mondo del fantastico tutta o parte della loro espressione artistica.Ho pensato allora di inaugurare un luogo dove anche noi artisti italiani possiamo incontrarci, scambiare opinioni ed informazioni, mantenere contatti, fare, insomma, del "social network": il mio intento non è quello di fondare una community chiusa, anzi, il contrario: ma mi piacerebbe che dall'incontro in rete nascesse la possibilità, per chi lo volesse, di incontrarsi anche dal vivo !!!Questo vuole essere un punto di partenza, siete tutti invitati su http://italianfantasy.ning.com/ :-)
