This includes storytellers, folklorists, mythologists, balladeers, singers, composers, poets, musicians, particularly harpers, historians and clan genealogists. She provided the ‘fire in the head’ of poetic inspiration. A very complex figure, Brigit is a solar deity and triskell is one of her symbols. In celtic mythology she is the daughter of the Dagda and one of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Original artwork is about 34.4 x 25.5 cm.

She's ready: I finished at last my first pencil work: to tell the truth, the background I did using watercolors, but all the rest is made using pencils. Prints are on sale on Fine art america  : they obviously won't have the watermark (i.e. my name and website) on them.

This is a design I made for a customer who ordered it 16 hours ago: it is completely hand drawn by me and I created the knot weaving as well.

After taking a short holiday, eating some pandoro and Christmas cakes, and being at home looking after my daughter, I am ready to start a new year full of colors, paintings and illustrations! I had a very busy November and December, illustrating four children's books in only 40 days... but I did it without missing my delivery dates :-) I spent these few January weeks finishing my last watercolor (you'll see it in a few days, as soon as I take the photos): I am thinking to use it to do my first video tutorial about watercolor technique...  Liberty longing - 2012  This is My new watercolor: I enjoyed very much painting the wings, I painted something beetween a butterfly and a a dragonfly wing.  I have tried to fade colours (from green to a warm yellow) without interrupting the coloring act: in other words, I am learning to shade off one color into another without sudden changing in colors texture. I am quite happy of it and, as usual, I felt very happy during painting. Which is the main reason I paint for. E' da molto che non scrivo su questo blog, ma c'è un buon motivo: sto imparando a disegnare i nodi celtici; durante un viaggio in Irlanda , l'estate scorsa, acquistai un libro per imparare a disegnare i nodi celtici, ed in seguito contattai l'autore, che gentilmente mi rispose, perchè non riuscivo a capire ogni passaggio; così ho iniziato un corso per corrsipondenza i cui primi risultati pubblicherò qui tra poco... se tornerete potrete vederli. A presto! It's been a long time since I wrote on this blog... this is because I am learning a new technique, I am learning to master ancient art of celtic patterns... Last summer I had a journey to Ireland, that I love very much, and I bought a book to learn drawing celtic knots...
